The Food and Nutrition Research Institute (FNRIDOST) is guided by its mission to provide accurate data, correct information, and innovative technologies to ﬁght malnutrition. In fulﬁllment of this mission, the FNRI created its own Research Ethics Committee under the name FNRI Institutional Ethics Research Committee (FIERC). It was registered with the Philippine Ethics Research Committee on December 3, 2007 with registration number Reg. No. 07-021.
The Food and Nutrition Research Institute of the Department of Science and Technology (FNRI-DOST) launches the PDRI 2015 during the opening ceremony of the 41st FNRI Seminar Series on July 1, 2015 at the FNRI Auditorium. The 2015 PDRI adopts the multi-level approach for setting nutrient reference values to meet the needs of various stakeholders for appropriate nutrient reference values.

The launching of FNRI/DOST- Goldilocks Bakeshop, Inc. partnership for Sarap Pinggang Pinoy Meals was held on July 25, 2015 during the Health and Nutrition Cluster Forum, National Science and Technology Week (NSTW) at SMX, Mall of Asia.
The FNRI LIBRARY will be closed on May 20-23, 2019. The Library staff will assist in the conduct of NUTRINET Seminar-Workshop on Data Visualization for Social Media Content Production in Vigan, Ilocos Sur.
