The Energy Calculator Software or E-Calc is a user-friendly interactive computersoftware that quickly determines the energy value of food items.

 

 

 

The software aims to provide the nutrient composition of raw and processed food, speed-up menu formulation and evaluation, calculate percent nutrient adequacy of food and estimate cost of the menu. These processes are very important in determining the quality of food that people consume daily. Availability of the "FCT + Menu Eval" application software in CD-ROM to professionals, students and other workers in the area of food and nutrition, dietetics, food technology, food service among others is an important achievement for the benefit of Filipino community in general.

 

The FIL-ANTHROP Software facilitates the use of the recent reference standards on anthropometric measurements (weight & height) commonly known as the 1985 Reference Standards for FIlipino Children.

Philippine Food Exchange Lists (FEL) Computer Software provides nutrition information for planning and analyzing food intakes and menus. FEL software is no longer available. However, Food Exchange List (FEL) in book form is available at FNRI for P60.00 each

 

 The Renal Software is an automated system developed from the Renal Exchange List (REL, a manual essentially developed to assist physicians and dietitians in the dietary prescriptions and careful monitoring of the diet of renal patients. However, the tedious dietary calculations involved with this tool necessitates the development of a software for nutrient analysis that facilitates the diet computation and the translation of the physicians' prescription into meal plans.
